Exam strategy: 1) Allocate roughly 1 minute per mark; leave 5–10 minutes for checking. 2) Read each question carefully, underline the command word, and identify what is being asked. 3) Show all working — method marks can be awarded even if the final answer is wrong. 4) If stuck, move on and return later; attempt every question. 5) Check answers: verify units, apply reasonableness checks, and re-read the question to ensure you answered what was asked. 6) For calculation questions, write the formula first, substitute values, then compute.

Exam Tips: If you are stuck on a question for more than 2 minutes, move on and come back — easier marks may be waiting later in the paper | Always write something for every part of a question: even a formula or a known fact can earn a method mark | In the calculator paper, double-check data entry by using the count function (n) to verify the number of data points matches the question | Before the exam, practise locating each formula on the formula sheet so you can find it quickly under time pressure | Use the 5–10 minutes of checking time to verify: (1) every question has been attempted, (2) answers have units, (3) calculations are reasonable
