Common Errors: Watch Out! Students often make mistakes with this topic. Wrong: Fabric printing is just stamping paint onto fabric — it is simple and does not need planning. Correct: Successful fabric printing requires careful planning: design the motif, consider the repeat system, choose appropriate fabric (natural fibres for dye, tight weave for screen printing), mix the right consistency of ink/dye, and plan registration for multi-colour prints.
